Some say that every photograph we take is a self-portrait; if that is the case then I want every self-portrait to be an adventure. And not just the same adventure either, I want a different one every time. I want to live every second of every day experiencing something new. That is why photography is so important to me.
Every shoot is different, the subject forever changing, the world and all it’s intricate stories begging to be told. I carry a camera with me everywhere. I am the guy who will instagram every meal, beer, sunset or cute puppy. I take photos when I’m sober, when I’m drunk, when I’m happy, when I’m sad, even when I’m hungover and it’s 45 degrees out in the Egyptian sun.
I want to document the world, capture the unfathomable variables of life and to ultimately tell stories with my images. A million photos are worthless without a story behind them, just like words in a book are useless unless they are woven together to form a memorable narrative. I love to use images to build layers of depth into story, so the viewers can immerse themselves and experience the adventure and see the world in a new light.
