So for the first series that I'm throwing up on the blog I was combining 3 of my most favourite activities; photography, cricket and drinking with mates. A friends birthday provided the excuse to get out there and play the game. There was a nice bit of stormy cloud cover which made the subjects pop nicely with some slightly off camera flash and my mates did the rest.

Gday and welcome to the blog of young Australian photographer Dale Tidy. I grew up in Canberra in the ACT and have been serious about photography for a couple of years now. It all began back in 2007 when I purchased my first camera and travelled around Europe and Egypt for 5 months mostly solo. I realised how much joy it gave me to create something out of nothing which I could express myself though. These days I am still madly keen to travel taking images throughout the world living my dream. I have future aspirations to get into photojournalism for the print media. dt.
