In November last year I left on a 3 month backpacking trip from Guatemala in Central America to Peru in South America travelling only via by bus and boat. Before I got to Guatemala I said goodbye to Whistler and caught up with some friends in Vancouver before flying down to LA and onto Guatemala City. Here are a few shots from the first stage of my journey.
Beautiful BC - A Trip to Vic
I have been lucky enough to have travelled to many beautiful places in my life, and Victoria in British Columbia is definitely right up there. I had a weekend off work in the summer and needed an escape from the Whistler bubble. Victoria had always been on my list of places to see while living in Canada and it seemed like the perfect time to go. I decided to hitchhike down to Vancouver and spend the night with friends before making my way over to the Island the next day. The people, the location, the lifestyle and the sunset are what I remember most, I can't wait to get back there soon.
